There are great live bands and then there are J. Roddy Waltson & The Business, the best live band in the US, who are currently blowing peoples’ minds on their sold out headlining run. Don’t believe us? Just ask NPR who can’t get enough of their “rollicking, frenzied live show” or Spin who praise their “ramshackle live shows” or just watch this blistering cover of Little Richard’s “Lucille”. The Baltimore-based band’s ATO debutEssential Tremors has been gaining rave reviews, and the lead single “Heavy Bells” (whose awesome video premiered on Noisey and can be seen here) is currently rocketing up the Alternative radio charts, including recent adds on KNDD/Seattle,91X/San Diego and KPNT/St. Louis. The band’s “World Café” session will air on November 13, and they will be performing on Late Night with David Letterman and on VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz” on November 22. Upcoming sessions will be airing on WFUV and KEXP.
